Good Shit.

December 20, 2010

This photographic gem was taken by Ray Suen

If theres anything I like the French for, its their abuse of butter in cooking and their music. A friend once told me “French sounds like you’re taking a dump“, but when French people are singing, at least its kind of like they’re shitting roses.

Below the cut are some French bands I’ve been enjoying lately.

How Rude.

April 20, 2010

It is a very Special day!

Cantalooops

March 27, 2010

Back in like 1994, I took part in my school talent show. I didn’t have any actual talent, so my friend and I wore baggy pants, boys boxers, and wife beaters on stage and rapped to Cantaloop by US3. Well, I rapped and she stood behind me making the random sounds.

It was the most embarrassing moment of my life and the memory of it haunted me though out my childhood years.

I don’t know why I knew every word to the slaughtering of Herbie Handcock back then, and even more baffling is why I still remember it now…

Hoop you have a good weekend

February 26, 2010

My friend came back from Los Angeles, last night, with TWO POUNDS of Black Cat Espresso beans!

Its like a coke dealer going straight from Columbia to a bar on the Lower East side on Thursday night, over here.

I’ve got so much energy that I’ve decided to show that I can hula hoop for an entire Charles Bronson song without messing up!…well almost.

Crisis of Conformity

I didn’t know SNL had anything worth watching, but this made me chuckle and want to pull out my Suicidal Tendencies records.

Death is Retarded.

January 13, 2010

Jay Retarded was a eclectic lo-fi musician. I gatewayed into music he was involved with because, to me, it was in the vain of Wreckless Eric and Wire.

He died last night, in his sleep.

He had a unique and cynical outlook on life. He once said that he would rather be able to do many things half assed than do one thing really well, because the monotony of doing one thing just becomes too tedious. I appreciated that.

Rest in peace, Mr. Lindsey.

So Long Professor Biscuits

October 29, 2009

Ready to have your day unmade? Chuck Biscuits passed away on October 24th. Biscuits played drums for D.O.A. through their best years. Also played for a slew of other greats such as Danzing, Black Flag, and Circle Jerks.

EDIT: Kidding. dood is apparently still alive. Gave me a good reason do revisit Hardcore 81 today, though.

Away Note From the Greasy Haired Bone Breaker

the keys

Salt watered hair and red finger nails have been great for easily pulling my hair back and cracking open lobster shells.

My computer won’t hold a signal long enough to create a real entry, so I leave you with the theme song of my week.

Rain Soaked Joy

June 24, 2009

oh clustersI have nothing to complain about. Although I wish this NY summer had less rain to it, I do like the sound it makes on my windows. Although I don’t have a photo job coming up, it does give me a chance to work on my personal projects. Blah, blah, vomit, blah, more glass-half-full bullshit….. Heres some other things I like, lately:
