Living Under a Rock…With a Dehumidifier!

cavehouse1The Sleeper family lives 45 ft below a forest, in the pit of a 1930s sandstone mine near the Mississippi River.

It took 5 years for the home to be constructed. And while the family waited the live in the cave, they were living in tents.

They had to build a ceiling over the kitchen in order to insure that sad didn’t get into their food.

A section of the house was used as an ice skating rink in the 1950s. but is now used as a room for their kids to use their skateboards. Just skateboarding in your cave…waiting for the laundry to finish. No big deal.

I always say how much i want to crawl up under a rock and die. I think I found the perfect rock.

cave

acoustics, dood.

I bet that horn sounds as crisp as my sarcasm would if I were to say something like

“I bet that sounds amazing, in that open space”

I bet it smells dank in the summer. Easy to clean though…dirt in and dirt out.

Thats a nice house, the only thing you would have to worry about are those creatures from the movie Tremor. If there real that family is screwed.
